Visiting during a weekend to Bristol. Our waitress Ruth was amazing with my nut allergy questions during ordering. Food was exceptional. Look forward to coming back following the renovation.

Wasn’t informed at time of booking that restaurant was undergoing refurbishment and that there was a limited menu. Staff not particularly welcoming. Suspicious that we were just a walk in until they could see our booking and seemed disappointed they couldn’t turn us away. Although we were not able to book anything after 5.30pm the place was half empty the whole time we were there. Food was good but left for 25 mins to ‘consider’ dessert menu. I had decided not to leave a tip due to all the above and the Waitresses (who had been very friendly up to this point) attitude totally changed once she saw this was the case. A curt thanks and blanked by her as we left the building. Previously always had a good experience here but not this time.

My wife and I arrived at the M&C, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol at 7:00pm on a Saturday evening and our first menu choice, a shared Cote de Boeuf wasn’t available.
Went for our second choice, two 8oz Fillet steaks, cooked medium. Both steaks were extremely bloody, but we were hungry, so accepted them. My steak was a bit chewy with a lot of sinew running through it, but my wife’s was absolutely terrible, and she couldn’t even cut it easily with the steak knife.
We told the waitress and she saw the problem and took the steak away to get a new one. By the time my wife’s replacement steak arrived, I had eaten what I could of my own steak.
Her second steak was slightly better, and she was able to eat about half of it.
We did mention this to the waitress, who was exceptionally busy, and we knew the steak problem wasn’t her fault, so still gave her a tip.
Sadly, nothing was said to us by the management, and there was zero mention of any kind of type of compensation.
The only good thing about the meal was the quality of the Malbec and Pinot Grigio, which were excellent.
Needless to say, we won’t be going back to M&C in the future.

Worst night ever. Nearly 40 mins to get the table we had booked. Food was a disgrace. Felt sorry for the staff serving.

Myself and partner decided to visit Miller&Carter last night to celebrate our 11 year anniversary together and had an exceptional night. We experienced fantastic service, a small wait for our table and an exquisite meal, despite having a few items missing due to the restaurants planned refurbishments, we still had a wide range of options available from the menu. The steaks were cooked beyond perfectly, we had a fantastic time. We would highly recommend, and look forward to dining there again.

Staff are like robots and whilst they are polite I wouldn't call them friendly or welcoming.
Food was okay but nothing special, first visit to Cribs Causeway and I much prefer the Thornhill Cardiff restaurant for service and atmosphere.

We had a fantastic meal here tonight. The steak was beautiful and just melted in the mouth - shout out to chef Sam! Considering how busy it was the food was served quickly and to a high standard. Ruth was our server and she was attentive, friendly and really helpful.
